The Tocorimé Pamatojari, a dream of 4 guys in 1988 to sail a wooden two-masted sail schooner. Without the big money they build it themselves. 880 km up the Amazone river, on a little beach in Santarém, PA. The no-budget adventure was only launched in 1999 with a thrilling maiden voyage in 2000.
Continuously challenging the status quo, the Tocorimé Foundation will now set sail to support lowering carbon footprints and protect our oceans. We believe endless pin-pointing on the problems is depressive and leads to passiveness. Showing solutions and celebrating the successes however, will inspire and stimulate. It will reassure we cán turn the tide; we can change mind sets !
Time To Change Course
The Tocorimé Foundation is committed to change Global Mindsets, creating settings where people become positive about the climate change: learning about the many solutions. We create high level awareness of the major milestones of the successful environmental initiatives. Celebrating Successes onboard the Tocorimé during the major global harbor events; organized for all ages, cultures and levels. Neutral and Transparent. Humble and Good. Different !
